It was a record-breaking weekend at the 25th annual National High School Coaches Association's High School National Wrestling Championships in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Aside from the record number of competitors (3,367) that took part in the three-day event, two wrestlers entered the exclusive 4-time NHSCA champion club.

Ryan Millhof of Collins Hills High School in Atlanta and Clay Walker of Eastside High School in South Carolina won their fourth consecutive NHSCA titles to become the fourth and fifth 4-time winners.  The other three - Tyler Beckwith of Greene High School in New York, Blake Roulo of Matoaca High School in Virginia and B.J. Clagon of Toms River South in New Jersey.

Millhof, who is a three-time Georgia state champ, won the 126-pound title with a thrilling 2-1 overtime ride-out victory over Isaiah Locsin from California.  Locsin's resume included a California state championship and a runner-up finish. Millhof, who will wrestling at the University of Oklahoma, finished his high school career with a record of 239-7.

Walker, who is a four-time South Carolina state champ won six matches to claim the 138-pound title.  Walker, who pinned three of his six opponents on the way to the title, defeated three-time Oregon state champ Josh Reyes of Parkrose High School 3-2.

Six of the 14 Senior Nationals finals were decided by a single-point with four matches going into overtime.

New York won the Senior Nationals team title with three champions.  California (4 champs) finished two points behind New York with Georgia finishing a distance third in the team chase.

New York was led Renaldo Rodriguez-Spencer of Cheektowaga High School, who won his second straight NHSCA title by defeating Niko Villareal of Gilroy High School in California 8-6 in overtime in the 145-pound final.

Other New York Senior Nationals champs were John Twomey of St. Anthony's High School at 113-pounds and James O'Hagan of Seaford High School at 285-pounds.  O'Hagan, who defeated two-time NHSCA champ Jesse Webb of Mt. Anthony Union High School in Vermont in the final, won a silver medal in 2013 at 285.

Gilroy High School led the California contingent with three finalists. Aside from runner-ups Locsin and Villareal, Gilroy's Paul Fox won the 152-pound title with a 4-3 win over Jairod James of Beford High School in Ohio.

California's Isaac Blackburn of Del Oro High School won a gold medal with a 9-0 win over Brandon Cunningham of Prattville High School in Alabama. At 120-pounds, Mason Pengilly of Porterville High School in California won his gold medal with a 5-2 win over Tyrone Klump of Nazareth High in Pennsylvania. Nicholas Fiegener of Folsom High School won California's fourth gold with a 5-4 win over Luis Peguero of Robinson High School in Florida in the 182-pound final.

Like New York's O'Hagan, Brandon Womack of Scottsboro High School in Alabama exchanged his 2013 silver medal for 2014 gold.  The six-time Alabama state champ defeated Dakota Juarez of Grand Haven High School in Michigan 8-6 in overtime.

In all, the Seniors Nationals featured wrestlers from 17 different states.

Next year Ken Brinson of Marist High School in Georgia will try to join the 4-time NHSCA Champions' Club after winning the 220-pound Junior Nationals gold medal over the weekend.

In a battle of nationally-ranked wrestlers, Brinson beat Austin Myers of Campbell County High School in Kentucky 8-6.  Like Brinson, Myers had captured NHSCA titles as a freshman and sophomore.

At 120, three-time West Virginia state champ Jordan Allen of Huntington High School won his second straight NHSCA title with a 11-2 decision over Steven Simpson of St. Mary's Ryken in Maryland.

There were seven 2013 Sophomore Nationals champs in this year's junior division, however, only Brinson, Allen and  Benjamin Schram of Bellbrook High School in Ohio were able to defend their titles.  Schram defeated three-time Connecticut state champ Johnny Garcia of Danbury High School 3-2 in the gold medal match.

New Jersey won the Junior Nationals team title with three champs: Sean Glasgow (152) of Bound Brook High School, Jeff Velez (195) of David Brearley High and Andrew Pacheco of Warren Hills High School at 285.

New York finished second in the Junior Nationals team champions, followed by Florida in third place.

Virginia crowned two Junior Nationals champs: three-time state champ Neal Richards of Matoaca High School and Dylan Wisman of Millbrook High.

The Junior Nationals featured state champs from 11 different states.

The Bullard twins from Archer High School in Georgia continue to be identical in many ways as both won their second NHSCA titles in the Sophomore Nationals.

Thomas Bullard won the 145-pound crown with an 8-2 decision over Abner Romero of Buchanan High in California.  Daniel Bullard won the 152-pound title with a 7-6 win over Deyuan Trueblood of Gateway High School in Colorado.

The Bullard brothers have also won back-to-back Georgia state titles.

Like the Bullards, Kevin Norstrem of Brandon High in Florida, Kevin Budock of Good Counsel in Maryland and Matthew Correnti of Holy Cross in New Jerssey are halfway to the NHSCA 4-time Champions' Club.

Correnti led a contingent of four New Jersey champs that led the Garden State to the Sophomore Nationals team title.  New York finished second in the team chase with Pennsylvania taking third place.

Aside from Correnti's 195-pound title, Sebastian Rivera (106) of Christian Brothers Academy, Kris Lindemann (126) of Howell High School and Mark McCormick (132) Camden Catholic High School won titles for New Jersey.

Norstrem's second straight NHSCA title came from a 4-1 win over Jake Spiess of Delta High School in Ohio in the 120-pound final.  Norstrem is a two-time Florida state champ.

Budock, who won the 126-pound title as a freshman, captured his second straight NHSCA gold medal with a 3-0 decision over Dakota Gardner of Fredonia High School in New York.
