Down goes another national high school field hockey record at the stick of Eastern High School's (New Jersey) Austyn Cuneo.
On Tuesday, Cuneo, who earlier this year set the all-time record for goals in a career, scored six goals to help her team advance to the New Jersey Group IV state championship on Saturday. Those six goals gave her 83 for the year, which passed the old single-season goal mark of 82 that was set in 1982 by Tracey Fuchs of Centereach High School in New York.
Cuneo, who's only a junior, now has 220 career goals.
Eastern is currently ranked #2 in the latest Top of the Circle National Rankings as of Monday...
1. Watertown (MA) 21-0
2. Eastern (NJ) 21-0-1
3. Lower Dauphin (PA) 23-1

There's no change in the latest Top of the Circle Top 10 Field Hockey national rankings, but there will be a change at the top of America's all-time field hockey goals list sometime this week...probably tomorrow.
